This week on the Album of Record podcast, we covered a lot—starting with Great Grandpa’s new album Patience, Moonbeam. I’ve been waiting on this one for a while, and it didn’t disappoint. It’s uneven in spots, but when they hit those anthemic highs—especially on tracks like “Doom”—it really works. Andrew came in ready to hate it (he’ll tell you that himself), but even he walked away impressed. He hates the band name, thinks the drummer is kind of a dud, but he still found five or so tracks he liked. That’s a win in my book.
