STP will always be underrated, mainly because they were thought to be a Pearl Jam rip-off, though their post-Core material clearly says otherwise. No. 4 is also a really good album - “Atlanta” was the song I went to when I heard that Weiland had died.
No local love for Richard Patrick and Filter? He wasn’t born here, but spent his formative years in Bay Village and the first Filter album was recorded in Rocky River (the liner notes had a shout-out to the Great Northern Mall Food Court). Maybe this is just some East Side bias from Craig coming through. :)
I also really enjoyed the STP with Chester Bennington EP. It’s a shame they never got to do a full album with him.
